Terms & Conditions

We encourage you to read these User Terms & Conditions carefully as they are a legal document, upon making your booking, you agree to be bound by these User Terms & Conditions.


It is the responsibility of the client who books to understand, agree, and be responsible for all booking conditions, including all payments being made by the specified dates.

 

Timing:

Time management is of the essence; therefore, adherence to booking times is critical in ensuring that Bonnie Blair Looks (BBL) delivers the service you expect and will be strictly adhered to. Should unforeseen circumstances arise, the onus is on the client to advise BBL as soon as practical. BBL is not responsible if the desired completion time is not met due to client/group/wedding party delays.

BBL will notify the client of their arrival time one to two weeks prior to the booking. If BBL is set back due to delays caused by you or your group/wedding party, and if we are requested and required to overstay (provided we are able to stay pending our other appointments), the client will be charged $80 per half hour thereafter, per artist.
 

If you have a particular schedule, please advise this at the time of booking or as soon as possible, so we can take this into account when allocating our bookings.

 

BBL timing varies depending on the service required, and the technical individual requirements of the client.

Pricing:

Please note that all prices are subject to change. If you have already paid a security deposit then you retain the rates invoiced at the time of booking for the respective booking.

 

General Bookings & Trials:

Bookings are subject to availability; please contact BBL to confirm. In order to secure your booking, you will be required to pay a non-refundable and non-transferable security deposit of 50%. This will be deducted from the total cost of the booking and will not be refundable or transferable under any circumstances.

 

The remainder of the service must be paid TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE of the service date, or the client risks the appointment being unattended. We do not hold any hair or makeup appointments that have not paid their security deposit.

A standard trial for one person is a 1-hour appointment that is equivalent to producing one hair or makeup look with very minimal changes. An extended trial for one person is a 1hr 30-minute appointment equivalent to producing either two hair looks in one sitting (style pending) or two makeup looks in one sitting (style pending) or one hair style with major changes and one makeup look with major changes.

 

PLEASE NOTE: At the extended trial for makeup only the eyes, brows and lips will be removed and reapplied. The same base/foundation will be used for both looks. Only one set of lashes are used for both looks. If you’d like to try a second lash style it is an extra $20. It is recommended that you bring images of your preferred look for clarity.

 

Trial bookings do not guarantee or secure hair and/or makeup services for your wedding date. If you would like to secure our services for your wedding date you need to request our availability and ask to book this appointment specifically as we treat “trials” and ‘weddings” as separate appointments.

 

Group Bookings:

Bookings are subject to availability; please contact BBL to confirm availability. To secure your wedding/group booking on a “per person” or “exclusive” basis, you will be required to pay a non-refundable security deposit, which is deducted from the total cost of the booking.

 

The security deposit amount is calculated by BBL based on the size/requirements of the booking and will not be refundable or transferable under any circumstances. The remainder of the service must be paid in full two weeks ahead of the booking date, or the client risks the appointment being unattended.

 

Where possible, please provide any inspirational imagery of your desired look for reference.

 

Payments:
 

Payment is to be made by bank deposit or credit card (please note credit card payment fees apply). Please allow at least 3 business days for electronic funds to clear. We recommend that clients send a transaction receipt at the time payment is made. Electronic payments that do not clear before the booking date may result booking cancellation. 

 

If you are having difficulty viewing, receiving, or paying an invoice, please contact BBL immediately.

 

Refunds:
 

BBL does not offer refunds for any completed services. Therefore, if you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to notify the artist(s) while on location.

 

Should you wish to meet us ahead of time and test our work in advance of a booking, we highly recommend that you see us for a trial prior to booking an appointment with us.

 

Cancellations:
 

Please confirm your numbers carefully at the time of your booking, as we don’t offer any reductions at any time for hair and makeup services. Should someone in your wedding/group booking cancel at any time, they are welcome to be replaced with someone else, e.g., a guest or relative.

 

You will be charged the full amount of the service as the booking duration on the requested date has been specifically allocated to you, resulting in lost earnings/bookings for us. It is your responsibility as the client to communicate and make the other parties aware of our rates and terms of service. Cancellations without the aforementioned prior notice (two months) will be charged the full cost of the booking. 

 

Cancellation of any booking by you must be communicated in writing via email and will only be confirmed upon receipt of this. The complete security deposit will be retained by us regardless of notice given due to administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your appointment.

 

Travel/Parking Fees:


A travel fee of 50c per kilometre will be incurred on the distance required to travel. If in the event that any hotel/motel and parking fees are incurred as a result of the location of the booking, these will be passed on to the client. If onsite parking is not available, you must notify BBL immediately so other arrangements can be made.

 

Please be aware that parking delays caused by the client may result in the artist's inability to start the service on time, finish the total service booked, or get to the service at all. We recommend that onsite parking be provided to us to avoid disappointment.

 

Extra People Wanting Styling:


If any additional people require styling on the day but do not have a booking, BBL will endeavour to accommodate this request dependent on artist availability and time constraints. Payment can be at the time of the appointment prior to us starting the service (please note all payments are to be either debit or credit card, including fees). A client consultation form must be completed prior to any services. It is recommended to give BBL notice if others in attendance want styling so arrangements can be made. BBL recommends that numbers for styling are confirmed in advance to avoid potential disappointment where we may not be able to cater to extras.

 

Exclusions:

 

The term "Full Makeup" implies applications to the face area only. Any other required applications will be charged for and quoted prior to application. This includes but is not limited to the back, chest, and remainder of the body, particularly where extensive works and product applications are required.

 

Additional requests such as airbrushing, glitters, specialty lashes, gemstones, bold/unusual pigments, and other special mediums need to be requested in advance and will be quoted upon request. 

 

Health & Safety:


BBL is not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. Prior to any service undertaken by BBL, all clients are required to complete the client consultation form. The onus is on the client to give advance notification to BBL if any client has a particular hypersensitivity that they are aware of. Should you bring your own product that you are familiar with, then BBL would be happy to use the product. We cannot make guarantees surrounding quality for products you supply for us to use.

 

Prior to scheduling and undertaking any hair service, we kindly request that clients ensure they have hair that is washed/dried the night before or morning of styling to avoid disappointment. Excess hair oils can change the appearance of a selected hair style. It is imperative that client hair is free of head lice or any contagious scalp conditions. In our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for all clients, we also ask that individuals with contagious skin/eye infections or infectious diseases refrain from scheduling or participating in our services until the condition has fully cleared. Our priority is to prioritise the health and comfort of both clients and our staff, and this precaution is essential to achieve that. Should you experience or suspect any such condition, we encourage you to seek appropriate medical advice and treatment before considering a service with us. Your cooperation in adhering to these requirements is greatly valued, as it contributes to the overall well-being of our clientele. No refunds will be given if services are canceled due to any of the above circumstances.

 

BBL reserves the right to stop work if there is any smoking in or entering the vicinity of the makeup/hair styling area for the health and safety of our team. BBL reserves the right to cease our services in any instances of aggression, threatening behaviour, or intoxication. No refunds will be given if services are cancelled due to any of the above circumstances.

 

Children in attendance of the booking are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children are not to be in the service area at any time unless they are being supervised by a responsible adult. This is for their own safety; we use very hot styling tools, operate electrical equipment, and have very heavy equipment that can tip if not used correctly. BBL accepts no liability for any claims arising from any child’s injury while in the service area.

 

Other:

​

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure a safe and sanitary working space is provided. This should include adequate ventilation, lighting, and working power outlets. Suitable bench space and chairs are also a requirement.

 

Damages, theft, or contamination to BBL property caused by any person (including children) require on-the-spot compensation of equipment. This applies to damaged or contaminated items. As children cannot compensate, their responsible adult (or The Client) will be held responsible for compensation.

 

In the event that the original scheduled artist(s) are not able to attend the appointment to provide hair and/or makeup services on the scheduled booking date, BBL will make every attempt to replace the hair and/or makeup artist(s). However, if we are unsuccessful, the limit of liability is a full refund of all monies already paid for the hair and/or makeup for the affected date only.

 

We do our best to ensure the products we use at a trial are also used on the day of the appointment, but please be aware that there are situations beyond our control that may prevent this, such as a supplier discontinuing a product or a supplier delay in restocking a product. We will always aim to replace the product with something similar.

 

Clients acknowledge that BBL may use any photographs or images taken for a portfolio, website, and any promotions. 

 

Medical Disclaimer:
 

We accept no liability for any claims arising out of the misuse, allergic reactions, or any injury suffered with the consenting use of the products and equipment offered by BBL. By making a booking with us, you acknowledge and accept this policy and release us from any liability if such a situation should arise.

 

THE CLIENT UNDERSTANDS THAT ONCE THEY PAY THE BOOKING DEPOSIT, THEY ARE LEGALLY BOUND BY THIS DOCUMENT.
